New Information Center Opens in Santa Cruz Ahead of Pope’s Tenerife Visit
The Diocese of San Cristóbal de La Laguna has opened a new information center in Santa Cruz’s Plaza de España to assist the public with inquiries ahead of the Pope’s June 12th visit to Tenerife.
Preparations for the Pope’s upcoming visit to Tenerife have ramped up with the opening of a new information center in Santa Cruz’s Plaza de España. The Diocese of San Cristóbal de La Laguna launched the office to help manage public inquiries, joining an existing location on Calle de La Carrera in San Cristóbal de La Laguna.
This move aims to handle the high volume of questions expected ahead of the June 12th visit. By placing a center in the heart of the capital, the organizers hope to make it easier for the public to access details about the papal schedule.
The offices are staffed by volunteers wearing official event uniforms who serve as a direct point of contact for the public. They are providing information on event schedules and distributing commemorative materials. By opening this second location, the local Church is working to centralize information across the island’s two main urban centers.
