The Ibero-American audiovisual industry has launched "Atlántica Guion," a new transatlantic platform connecting Spain, Colombia, and Brazil to foster professional collaboration and streamline the development of international film and television projects.

The Ibero-American audiovisual industry is launching "Atlántica Guion," a new transatlantic platform designed to strengthen ties and transform how film and television projects are developed. Announced during Screenwriting Week in Cali, this alliance aims to break down the geographical barriers that have long made early-stage co-production difficult.

Supported by the Canary Islands’ IsLABentura Canarias, the project brings together two key partners: Colombia’s "Algo en Común" and Brazil’s "Histórias Que Viajam." Together, they intend to professionalize creative collaboration between Spain, Colombia, and Brazil, creating a space where stories and intellectual property can move more easily between these culturally connected but often isolated markets.

Atlántica Guion has already set an immediate agenda. In the coming months, the group will host remote sessions for writers to discuss the challenges of their craft and explore joint financing opportunities. These digital meetings will lead into an upcoming online training program, with details and registration information to be announced soon on their official website.

By focusing on the development stage, these laboratories hope to ensure that scripts are not only higher in quality but also designed for international success in a competitive global market. This initiative further establishes the Canary Islands as a vital hub, serving as a bridge between European production and the growing Latin American creative sector.
