National Lottery Top Prize Goes to Tenerife
Tenerife claimed the National Lottery's top prize of 30,000 euros in the January 15 draw, with the winning ticket sold at a Granadilla de Abona gas station.
The National Lottery draw on Thursday, January 15, saw its top prize go to Tenerife, according to State Lotteries and Betting (LAE).
The winning number, 16609, won 30,000 euros. The lucky ticket was sold at a gas station on the South Highway, at kilometer 54, in Granadilla de Abona. This top prize was widely distributed, with winning tickets sold in several locations, including Tenerife.
Meanwhile, the second prize, worth 6,000 euros, went to number 79950, with the ticket sold in A Coruña.
To play, first choose which draw you want to enter. There are always at least four draws available. Next, pick your 5-digit number (called a 'décimo'). You can choose the digits yourself or let the system pick them randomly for you by marking asterisks for the numbers you don't want to choose. You also need to say how many décimos you want to buy (between 1 and 10).
If you choose a specific number, be aware that it might not be available. It could already be sold out or only available through one of our official Lottery Administrations.
The décimos you buy online are virtual; we won't send you a physical ticket, as paper tickets are only sold at Lottery Administrations. However, these virtual tickets enter the draws under the same rules and have the same chances of winning as paper tickets. The main difference is how you claim prizes: with a paper ticket, you must present it, but with an online purchase, your winnings are paid out automatically, just like with our other online games, without you needing to show anything.
The price of each décimo varies depending on the specific draw you enter.
You win a prize if your number (or some of its digits) matches those drawn, according to the prize structure for that draw. This includes the first prize, second prize, matching the last digits, 'approximation' prizes, or a refund.
