Multiple Incidents Cause Morning Chaos on Tenerife Highways
Tenerife's TF-1 and TF-5 highways experienced major traffic jams Thursday morning following multiple incidents, including fallen objects, a dog strike, and a collision.
Drivers on Tenerife's highways faced a chaotic morning this Thursday, with several incidents causing major traffic jams.
Around 8:15 AM, metallic objects fell onto the TF-1 southern highway near Güímar, according to emergency services (112 Canarias). This caused two vehicles to get flat tires and led to significant traffic delays as other drivers reported the hazard. Later that morning, also on the TF-1, a podenco dog was hit by a vehicle after running into the road inside the Güímar tunnels.
Meanwhile, on the TF-5 northern highway, a minor collision between a car and a motorcycle happened around 7:45 AM. This accident, which occurred northbound near La Victoria, required the attendance of a SUC ambulance, the Guardia Civil, and road maintenance crews. About 20 minutes later, a chair was found on the same highway near Alcampo La Laguna.
