The Mueca International Street Art Festival reaches its peak today with a diverse program of 28 performances featuring contemporary circus, comedy, and dance acts from across the globe.

The Mueca International Street Art Festival reaches its peak today, Friday, cementing its reputation as a premier event for revitalizing public spaces. This year’s program features 28 performances across 15 city locations, with a heavy focus on contemporary circus acts from five different countries.

The festival’s international lineup is the highlight of today’s schedule. Australia’s Circa leads the way with Wolf/Lobo at 9:00 p.m. at Muelle Turismo de Tenerife. France is represented by Yoann Bourgeois’s L’approche infinie (7:00 p.m., Lago Martiánez) and the juggling act Los Putos Makinas (9:00 p.m., Toti Aqualia). Other European highlights include Finland’s Kate & Pasi with Suhde (5:00 p.m., Toti Aqualia), Italy’s Katastrofa Show (5:00 p.m., Nicko Valoriza), and Belgium’s Krak with Kontrol (5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., Plaza Concejil).

Latin American artists also play a key role in the festival’s global atmosphere. Argentine performer Federico Menini presents Llar at 5:00 p.m. at Muelle Turismo de Tenerife, while Uruguay’s Kustrika performs Precaución, obra en construcción at 6:00 p.m. at Playa Martiánez.

Beyond circus arts, the festival offers a wide variety of performances. Comedy fans can enjoy Zanguango Teatro’s El peor espectáculo del mundo, de momento (7:00 p.m., Nicko Valoriza), Abubukaka’s Otto Stragman (7:00 p.m., Muelle Turismo de Tenerife), and Chipi La Canalla’s musical show El bar nuestro de cada día (9:00 p.m., Plaza Concejil).
