A motorcyclist was hospitalized in serious condition following a collision at the junction of the TF-4 and TF-1 highways in Tenerife early Friday morning.

Road safety in Tenerife’s capital is back in the spotlight after a serious accident early Friday morning, July 24. According to the Canary Islands' emergency services (CECOES 1-1-2), a man was taken to the hospital in serious condition following a crash.

The accident, which involved a motorcyclist, happened at 6:39 a.m. at the junction where the TF-4 highway meets the TF-1 motorway heading south. These busy interchanges are particularly dangerous during the morning rush hour, especially for motorcyclists, who are more vulnerable on the road.

Emergency teams, including a medical ambulance and a basic life support unit, were dispatched immediately to treat the injured man. Road maintenance crews and police also arrived to secure the scene, help with the rescue, and prevent further accidents. This coordinated response was essential to providing quick medical care and managing the heavy traffic flow.
