A 41-year-old motorcyclist was hospitalized with moderate injuries following a multi-vehicle collision on Tenerife’s TF-1 motorway on Monday.

Road safety on Tenerife’s major highways is under scrutiny again following a multi-vehicle crash on the TF-1 motorway this Monday, March 30. According to the Canary Islands’ emergency services (CECOES 1-1-2), the accident involved several cars and left a 41-year-old man with moderate injuries.

The collision occurred at 2:35 p.m. near kilometer 75 in Adeje, heading south. Emergency medical teams arrived quickly to stabilize the motorcyclist before transporting him to Hospiten Sur University Hospital, where he is being treated for trauma.

This incident highlights the risks motorcyclists face in chain-reaction accidents on busy roads like the TF-1. The Civil Guard managed the scene, filed a report, and worked to clear the traffic congestion that followed. The frequency of these accidents has reignited calls for drivers to exercise greater caution and maintain safe following distances to prevent sudden braking from turning into a serious collision.
