A 59-year-old motorcyclist was hospitalized with moderate injuries following a collision with a car at a junction on Tenerife’s TF-24 road in El Rosario this morning.

Road safety on Tenerife’s secondary roads is back in the spotlight after a crash in El Rosario this morning. Emergency services reported that a 59-year-old man suffered moderate injuries when his motorcycle collided with a car. The accident occurred just before 8:00 a.m. on the TF-24, at the busy junction with the TF-272 that leads into Llano del Moro.

This incident highlights the risks faced by motorcyclists during the morning rush hour. The Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) responded immediately, sending a basic life support unit and a medical ambulance to the scene. After receiving initial treatment on the road to stabilize his condition, the motorcyclist was taken to San Juan de Dios Hospital for further evaluation.

The Civil Guard managed traffic in the area to reduce congestion and allow emergency teams to work safely. They have also launched an investigation into the cause of the crash. Traffic authorities remain concerned about the frequency of accidents at these types of intersections and are urging drivers to exercise extra caution on routes leading into the island’s metropolitan areas.
