A 27-year-old motorcyclist was hospitalized with moderate chest injuries following a collision with a car on Tenerife’s TF-28 road in El Rosario this morning.

Road safety on Tenerife’s secondary routes is back in the spotlight after a crash this morning on the TF-28 in El Rosario. According to the Canary Islands’ emergency services (1-1-2), a 27-year-old man was left with moderate injuries.

The collision between a motorcycle and a car occurred at approximately 10:38 a.m., causing temporary traffic delays on a road that serves as a vital link for the island’s southeastern communities. Accidents on these types of roads are often more dangerous due to the lack of central barriers and the mix of different types of traffic.

Emergency medical teams treated the man at the scene for chest injuries. Once stabilized, he was taken to the Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria University Hospital for further care. The Civil Guard is now investigating the incident to determine the cause of the crash.

This accident serves as a reminder of the risks faced by motorcyclists on Tenerife’s roads. With traffic density increasing, authorities continue to monitor these routes to identify high-risk areas and improve safety for all drivers.
