A 37-year-old woman was hospitalized with moderate injuries following a motorcycle-car collision on Tenerife's TF-24 highway in La Laguna on Wednesday.

Road safety on Tenerife is back in the spotlight after a collision on the TF-24 in La Laguna this Wednesday. A 37-year-old woman was moderately injured when her motorcycle collided with a car, highlighting the ongoing risks faced by motorcyclists on the island’s busy roads.

Emergency services were alerted to the crash shortly before 4:00 p.m. A basic life support team from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) arrived on the scene to provide medical care. The woman was then transported to Clínica Parque, where she is currently being treated for her injuries.

The Civil Guard managed traffic at the scene and has launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident. Meanwhile, road maintenance crews cleared the debris to restore traffic flow toward Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

This incident serves as a reminder of the dangers motorcyclists face on high-speed roads, where the size difference between vehicles often leads to serious injuries. Authorities continue to stress the importance of maintaining safe distances and staying alert, as they work to improve road safety and reduce accidents across the Canary Islands.
