A motorcyclist was hospitalized with moderate injuries following a collision with a car on the road between Santa Cruz and La Laguna this afternoon.
Road safety in Tenerife’s metropolitan area is once again a concern following a crash this afternoon on the road between Santa Cruz and La Laguna.
According to the Canary Islands' emergency services (CECOES 112), the accident involved a motorcycle and a car and occurred at 4:08 p.m. near La Vuelta de los Pájaros.
Emergency teams arrived quickly to stabilize the motorcyclist. The rider, who suffered moderate injuries, was taken to the Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria University Hospital by ambulance. Local police were also on the scene to manage traffic and investigate the cause of the collision.
This stretch of road is a critical part of the island’s network, known for its heavy traffic and challenging terrain. Because the route connects two major urban centers, accidents here often cause significant delays, forcing authorities to remain vigilant about traffic flow and safety regulations.
