Motorcyclist Dies in Fatal Crash on Tenerife’s TF-1 Highway
A 62-year-old motorcyclist died on Saturday after veering off the TF-1 highway in Adeje, prompting a Civil Guard investigation into the fatal accident.
Road safety in the Canary Islands is back in the spotlight following the death of a 62-year-old motorcyclist this Saturday, July 25, in Adeje. Emergency services reported that the accident occurred at approximately 2:23 p.m. when the motorcycle veered off the TF-1 highway at kilometer 78, heading north.
The incident highlights the dangers motorcyclists face on high-speed roads, where losing control can have fatal consequences. An off-duty firefighter at the scene attempted to resuscitate the rider under the guidance of the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), but unfortunately, their efforts were unsuccessful. When medical teams arrived, they could only confirm that the man had died from his injuries.
The Civil Guard is now investigating the exact cause of the crash. Meanwhile, road maintenance crews cleared the area to ensure the safety of other drivers and restore traffic flow on the TF-1.
