A 41-year-old motorcyclist died following a collision with a car on a road between Tejina and Valle Guerra in Tenerife this Saturday.

Safety on Tenerife’s secondary roads is under scrutiny again following a fatal crash in La Laguna this Saturday. According to the Canary Islands' emergency services (CECOES 112), a 41-year-old man died after his motorcycle collided with a car.

The accident occurred on the road between Tejina and Valle Guerra at 11:18 p.m. Emergency teams, including advanced and basic life support ambulances, were dispatched immediately. Despite their efforts, medics could not save the motorcyclist, who had suffered fatal injuries.

This tragedy highlights the vulnerability of motorcyclists on the island's roads. The Local and National Police are now investigating the exact cause of the crash.

The stretch of road where the accident happened is known to be challenging at night due to poor visibility and its winding layout, requiring extra caution from drivers. This incident serves as a grim reminder of the dangers posed by collisions between vehicles of different sizes, reinforcing the urgent need for better road safety awareness and stricter traffic monitoring across the archipelago.
