Tenerife's Montesdeoca cheese factory, the island's most awarded, secured a silver medal at the Lyon International Competition for its cured cow and goat cheese with gofio.

Montesdeoca cheese factory has won another award! They've just brought home a silver medal from Lyon, France, for their cured cow and goat cheese with gofio.

At the recent Lyon International Competition, 627 judges from 23 countries tasted 2,980 different cheeses. Montesdeoca's cured cow and goat cheese scored an impressive 90 out of 100 for its taste, texture, and look, earning it a silver medal.

Montesdeoca Cheese Factory is known for its success, holding the title of the most awarded cheese factory in Tenerife. They've collected 121 awards from international, national, and regional contests, including a total of 39 medals. Among these is a prestigious Super Gold from the World Cheese Awards, making them one of Spain's most decorated cheese producers.

This particular cured cow and goat cheese with gofio has had a fantastic year for the artisanal factory in Adeje. It also won a gold medal at the Agrocanarias Competition, another gold at the Mediterranean Taste Awards in Berlin, and a bronze at the Fromage Mondial in Tours, France.
