"Contracorriente" features eight tracks blending salsa and Latin pop. It combines various rhythms and cultural roots with a sound designed to connect the human and the divine. The project includes collaborations with an international lineup of artists such as Luis Fernando Borjas, Giovanni Machuca, Mercadonegro, and Tommy Soto. González also announced that more songs will be released over the next two months, featuring other prominent tropical music artists.
