Metrotenerife Announces Tram Schedule Changes for Upcoming Long Weekend
Metrotenerife has announced temporary adjustments to Line 1 tram services this weekend to accommodate passengers attending the "Baile de Magos" festivities in Santa Cruz.
Metrotenerife has announced changes to its tram schedule for the upcoming long weekend to accommodate the increase in passengers attending local festivities.
The most significant change is due to the "Baile de Magos" in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. From 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, tram service on Line 1 will be shortened. Trams will only run between La Trinidad and Teatro Guimerá, meaning the Fundación and Intercambiador stops will be closed. This change is a safety measure for the event and will remain in place until Sunday morning.
Despite these restrictions, Metrotenerife will continue to provide uninterrupted service between Santa Cruz and La Laguna throughout the night. The company encourages people to use the tram as a safe alternative to driving during the busy holiday period.
On Saturday morning, trams will run at their usual intervals of 8 to 10 minutes. Because there will be further adjustments throughout the long weekend, the company advises passengers to check their website and social media profiles to plan their journeys in advance.
