Metrotenerife has announced a special transport plan for Easter week, featuring continuous Line 1 service from April 1 to April 5 and adjusted tram frequencies to accommodate increased passenger demand.

Managing traffic in Santa Cruz de Tenerife during busy periods is a major challenge for local authorities. To help, Metrotenerife has announced a special transport plan for Easter week, ensuring that Line 1 will run continuously from the morning of Wednesday, April 1, until midnight on Sunday, April 5.

This plan aims to support the increase in travel by both residents and visitors. Service intervals have been adjusted: between Monday, March 30, and Wednesday, April 1, trams will run every 6 to 7 minutes. On Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, the frequency will shift to every 12, 15, and 20 minutes.

Please note that religious processions in the city center will cause temporary suspensions of Line 1. These changes will be managed by the Local Police to keep disruptions to a minimum.

Because schedules may change due to these events, the operator encourages passengers to check for real-time updates on their official Facebook page and X account (@tranviatenerife) to avoid any travel delays.
