Mauro Entrialgo Headlines La Laguna's "Between Vines and Panels" Wine and Comic Fest

Cartoonist Mauro Entrialgo is the star of the latest "Entre Viñas y Viñetas" (Between Vines and Panels) event. This is a well-known and unique part of the "Noviembre Mes del Vino Tacoronte-Acentejo" (November Month of Tacoronte-Acentejo Wine) festival in La Laguna. The event is put on by the Tacoronte-Acentejo wine region, Librería Lemus bookshop, and the La Laguna City Council.

Entrialgo visited the La Laguna City Council on Thursday to sign his books. He will do so again today at Librería Lemus from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Also this Friday, at 8:15 PM, he will join a discussion with Manuel Darias, a comic expert and long-time contributor to DIARIO DE AVISOS.

Entrialgo was one of the founders of the satirical magazine TMEO and currently draws comics for the humor magazine El Jueves. His work has also appeared in comic publications like El Víbora and Makoki, as well as in magazines such as Cinemanía, Interviú, and El Gran Musical. He also comments on social, political, and cultural issues on the radio. He has published over 50 books for all ages, all featuring his signature humor and sharp observations on society.

Some of his well-known characters include Herminio Bolaextra, Alter Rollo, Tyrex, Drugos el acumulador, and el Demonio Rojo. He has also worked in theatre, film, illustration, poster design, and music. His recent essay, "Malismo," has been a big hit, selling out six editions in its first year. In 2025, he released the comics "Curiosidades del mundo del rock" (Curiosities of the Rock World) and "Ángel Sefija."

Entrialgo's appearance continues a tradition of cartoonists participating in the Tacoronte-Acentejo wine region's events over the past 18 years. This initiative is one-of-a-kind in Spain, bringing together the worlds of wine and comics. It's a special combination of wine and comic art that celebrates the popular drink.
