The Mappa festival returns to Tenerife’s Siam Park on April 3, featuring headliner Marco Carola and a new immersive, narrative-driven format that utilizes a 360-degree stage design to blend electronic music with nature.

The Canary Islands’ music scene is set for a major change with the upcoming Mappa festival, taking place on April 3 at the Siam Park amphitheater in Adeje. Organizers are moving away from the traditional festival format, instead introducing a three-part narrative structure that links electronic music with the natural world.

This new approach begins with "fire" as the central theme, shaping both the stage design and the overall flow of the event. The goal is to move beyond a standard concert and turn attendees into active participants in a story—a growing trend in Europe that focuses on creating a fully immersive sensory experience.

Technically, the festival will continue to use a 360-degree setup. By placing the DJ booth in the center of the venue, the organizers are removing the traditional "front-facing" stage. This layout, combined with a high-end sound system, ensures the music surrounds the crowd, closing the gap between the artists and the audience.

The lineup for the event highlights Tenerife’s growing importance in the international electronic music circuit. Italian techno and tech-house icon Marco Carola will headline, supported by notable artists including Franky Rizardo, Fleur Shore, Alex Wellmann, Claudia Rutten, Iva Dive, and Stany.

With this shift, Mappa aims to set a new standard for production in the Canary Islands by blending the venue’s architecture with a long-term artistic story. The April 3 event marks a turning point for the festival, as it looks to redefine the concert experience through a mix of technology, nature, and storytelling.
