He chose to ignore this advice, and as the waves grew stronger, he found himself unable to return to shore. The situation was made even more dangerous by the fact that the man could not swim.
Lifeguards Pedro Hernández and Adán, supported by the Local Police and service coordinators, successfully brought the man to safety. While the outcome was positive, the incident serves as a stark reminder that jetties and breakwaters can quickly become life-threatening traps when the weather turns.
