Man Injured After Car Overturns in Adeje Crash
A 55-year-old man was hospitalized with moderate injuries after a two-car collision caused one vehicle to overturn on Tenerife's TF-47 road early this morning.
Road safety on Tenerife’s secondary roads is back in the spotlight following a crash early this morning in Adeje. Emergency services reported that the accident occurred at 12:29 a.m. at kilometer 1 of the TF-47, leaving a 55-year-old man with moderate injuries.
The collision involved two cars, one of which overturned. Emergency teams, including a medical unit and a basic life support team, were dispatched to the scene. They stabilized the driver, who had suffered various injuries, before transporting him to the Hospital del Sur.
Firefighters from the Tenerife Consortium also attended the scene to secure the overturned vehicle, ensuring the area was safe for medical staff and helping to clear the road for traffic. Meanwhile, the Civil Guard and Local Police managed the flow of vehicles and began an investigation into the cause of the crash.
Incidents like this on busy routes like the TF-47 highlight the importance of rapid response protocols. The high volume of traffic on this stretch of road remains a challenge for authorities, particularly at night, when reduced visibility and driver fatigue significantly increase the risk of accidents.
