A 65-year-old man is hospitalized in Santa Cruz de Tenerife after falling from a height in the Añaza neighborhood early Sunday morning.
Safety in high-density residential areas is back in the spotlight following an incident early Sunday morning in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. A 65-year-old man is currently being treated at the Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital after falling from a height onto a street in the Añaza neighborhood.
Emergency services were alerted to the scene on the Rambla de Añaza at 2:55 a.m. Paramedics from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) stabilized the man, who was suffering from injuries initially classified as moderate. Medical teams are now conducting further evaluations to rule out any internal injuries that may not have been immediately apparent.
National and local police secured the area while medical personnel transported the victim. Authorities are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the fall to determine whether it was an accident or if other factors were involved—a standard procedure for incidents of this nature.
