Man, Child Hospitalized After Granadilla Car Crash
A car crash in Granadilla, Tenerife, last night injured a 40-year-old man and a 4-year-old child after their vehicle struck a pole.
Emergency services in Tenerife responded last night to a car crash in Granadilla involving an adult and a child. The Canary Islands 112 emergency center reported that the incident required a coordinated effort from many different teams. This highlights how important it is to respond quickly to road accidents, especially when young passengers are involved.
The crash happened around 9:46 PM on road TF-645 when a car hit a pole. A 40-year-old man suffered a moderate leg injury, and a 4-year-old child had minor injuries. Ambulances from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) took both of them to Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria University Hospital.
Besides the SUC paramedics, firefighters from the Tenerife Fire Consortium also came to the scene to help. Civil Guard and Local Police officers were also there to direct traffic and write up a report on what happened. This is standard practice to understand how such accidents occur. Getting these services there quickly is vital to lessen the impact of road accidents and keep everyone safe, including other drivers.
