Man Arrested for Los Cristianos Home Invasion
National Police have arrested a man in Tenerife suspected of a November 2025 home invasion in Los Cristianos, where he broke into an apartment via the roof while a family was inside, and is also linked to a high school burglary.
National Police officers have arrested a man suspected of breaking into a home in Los Cristianos, Tenerife, while the residents were inside.
The incident happened in November 2025, around 1 PM, in a fourth-floor apartment. A married couple lived there with their two young daughters, the National Police said in a statement.
The intruder climbed down from the building's roof using two tied-together sheets. He entered through an inner courtyard and got into the apartment through the children's bedroom window.
The woman found the man in her daughters' room and panicked, running to alert her family. The couple and one daughter managed to hide in a room, while the other daughter locked herself in the bathroom and blocked the door.
The intruder chased the woman and tried to force open the doors of the rooms where the family was hiding. He even managed to put his arm through a ventilation window, creating moments of extreme tension and danger for the family.
Unable to get into the rooms, and with the family making noise and calling the police, the intruder left the apartment. He stole a laptop and a mobile phone, which belonged to one of the daughters.
National Police eventually identified the man, and the victims recognized him. Weeks later, after a search, he was arrested in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
Besides the Los Cristianos burglary, the arrested man is also charged with another break-in at a high school in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, for which he was already wanted. He has appeared before a judge for both alleged burglaries.
