Güímar Local Police arrested a man early Friday morning following a domestic violence incident in the Tenerife municipality. The victim was able to call 112 for help while locked in a room with her young daughter.
The woman’s clear communication with emergency operators and police proved vital. By staying in constant contact until officers arrived, she allowed the authorities to monitor the situation in real time. When police entered the home, they found the woman with visible facial injuries and provided immediate medical and psychological support to both her and her child.
After ensuring they were safe, officers searched the property and found the suspect hiding in another room. He was taken into custody and is now awaiting a court appearance as the investigation continues.
