Lost Nomads Festival Boosts Tenerife’s Shift Toward Sustainable Premium Tourism
The Lost Nomads festival in Tenerife has successfully launched a new model for premium tourism in the Canary Islands by integrating electronic music with environmental sustainability and circular economy initiatives.
The arrival of the Lost Nomads festival in Tenerife marks a significant shift in the Canary Islands' tourism strategy. By blending cultural entertainment with a commitment to the environment, the region is successfully attracting high-value visitors. Following its debut in Costa Adeje on April 4, organizers Farra Events confirmed that the festival has effectively combined cutting-edge electronic music with a program dedicated to sustainability, the blue economy, and circular business practices.
Supported by the Government of the Canary Islands, local tourism boards, and the Adeje City Council, the event went beyond a typical music festival. Throughout March, organizers hosted debates and marine conservation initiatives featuring experts like underwater photographer Francis Pérez and representatives from Excelencia Turística de Canaria. This focus on resource management and environmental protection aligns the festival with the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) standards now expected across the European events industry.
The musical lineup was headlined by Pawsa, supported by artists including DJ Tennis, Toman, Salomé Le Chat, Jamback, Ana Pak, Cleepers, and Tonyyavi. This curated aesthetic helped the festival establish a strong foothold in Tenerife, building on its previous success in cities like Dubai and Marrakech.
Economically, the festival reinforces the archipelago’s status as a hub for premium experiential tourism. By drawing an international crowd, Lost Nomads proves that a leisure model can both boost the local economy and meet modern sustainability goals. The project serves as a successful example of how private organizers and public authorities can work together to transform tourism into a tool for both global promotion and environmental awareness.
