Loose Container Causes Major Disruption in Tenerife Industrial Estate
A Boluda Lines cargo container came loose during unloading in Santa Cruz de Tenerife's El Mayorazgo industrial estate, causing significant disruption, striking a parked car, and damaging a wall.
A cargo container has caused major problems in El Mayorazgo industrial estate, a very busy logistics area in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Early reports say that a container from Boluda Lines came loose from its transport truck during unloading at a dock.
Once loose, the container rolled across the road and hit a wall on the other side. On its way, it also crashed into a parked car. Luckily, there were no other vehicles on the road at the time, which prevented a much worse accident. However, the impact damaged the wall, which had been holding the container back.
Police are now on site, directing traffic and helping to remove the container to get things back to normal. Firefighters have also arrived to check and secure the damaged wall, as there's a risk it could collapse. This kind of event highlights how crucial safety rules are when loading and unloading goods in busy industrial areas.
