Lifeguards at Los Cristianos beach in Arona rescued a 70-year-old woman showing signs of drowning on Thursday, who was subsequently taken to Hospiten Sur University Hospital.

This Thursday, lifeguards at Los Cristianos beach in Arona rescued a woman who showed signs of drowning. The incident happened at 2:06 PM, as reported by the Canary Islands Government's 1-1-2 emergency services.

The lifeguards themselves raised the alarm after pulling the woman from the water and requesting medical help. The 1-1-2 service quickly dispatched the necessary teams, including a basic life support ambulance from the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) and the Local Police.

The 70-year-old woman received first aid on the beach from the lifeguards, who continued to help her until paramedics arrived. After an initial check-up, she was taken by SUC ambulance to Hospiten Sur University Hospital.

The Local Police handled the necessary paperwork.
