Libby's volleyball team secured their top-division status and moved into the final playoff spot by beating Emevé 3-1, keeping their championship playoff hopes alive until the season's decisive last game.

Libby's volleyball team has secured their place in the Women's Iberdrola Volleyball League. They did this by beating Emevé 3-1 at the Municipal Sports Palace in Lugo during the 21st matchday. This win not only guarantees they stay in the top division but also keeps their hopes of reaching the championship playoffs alive. The final decision on their playoff spot will come down to the last game of the season.

The team from Tenerife won the match with set scores of 22-25, 25-21, 19-25, and 16-25. Libby's took the first set, which lasted 24 minutes. Emevé fought back to win the second set, tying the match. However, the visiting team, boosted by strong performances from players like Carolina Camino, Alli Cudworth, Yeisy Soto, and Nadia Essayadi, took control in the third and fourth sets to seal their victory.

These three points move the La Laguna team up to eighth place in the standings, which is the final playoff spot. They now have a total of 29 points. Their closest rival for this position, Sayre, is three points behind with 26 points and still has a game to play this round against Heidelberg. Libby's win also means Emevé can no longer qualify for the playoffs, as they are stuck on 23 points.

The final matchday will be crucial for Libby's playoff hopes. They will host Heidelberg, who are currently fourth in the league. Meanwhile, Sayre will play against Emalsa Gran Canaria, currently second in the league. That match will decide who gets the final playoff spot.
