Leoni Torres Greets Fans After Storm Cancels Tenerife Show
Despite Storm Emilia cancelling his Tenerife concert, Cuban singer Leoni Torres met with fans at his hotel, sharing the heartwarming interaction on social media.
Storm Emilia brought heavy rain to Tenerife and snow to Mount Teide, causing many events across the island to be cancelled. Among these was a concert by Cuban singer Leoni Torres, who was set to open the Gastro Navidad Market Fest in the capital on December 13.
Many fans had been eagerly anticipating seeing their favourite artist perform for free on the island for months. However, the bad weather made the concert impossible.
Despite the cancellation, some lucky fans did get to meet the artist up close. Leoni Torres didn't hesitate to come down to the entrance of his hotel in the capital to greet those who had gathered there.
This past Sunday, the singer shared a video of this special moment with his followers on social media. He added a heartfelt message: "How beautiful it is when they sing to you like that and give you so much affection."
The shared images show about a dozen fans who had come to his hotel, near García Sanabria Park. They sang some of his most famous songs, chatted with him, and took photos.
