The Lavaderos Live Music series in Santa Cruz de Tenerife is celebrating its tenth anniversary with a special lineup of performances, including an upcoming show by M/Band and a milestone 100th concert on August 27.

The Lavaderos Live Music series is celebrating its tenth anniversary, continuing its mission to bring vibrant art and music to the Los Lavaderos Art Hall in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Managed by Makaron and directed by Rubén Díaz, with support from the City Council’s Centro-Ifara District, the series has become a cornerstone of the local cultural scene by hosting diverse performances in a unique heritage setting.

This week, the stage welcomes M/Band, a quintet that has grown from a private project into a professional ensemble. Featuring Mara (vocals), Juanlu (guitar/vocals), Luis (lead guitar/vocals), Yisus (bass), and Marta (drums/percussion/vocals), the group blends rock, folk, pop, and country. Their setlist spans hits from the 70s to the 90s alongside original music, all delivered with an intimate, personal touch. They will perform this Thursday at 8:30 p.m. at the venue, located behind the Hotel Mencey.

As the series enters its final stretch, it is marking some major milestones. On August 27 at 8:30 p.m., the event will celebrate its 100th concert, held in honor of the Virgin of Los Lavaderos. The season concludes on August 29 starting at 6:00 p.m. with a lineup featuring Whiskería Lili, Mono Sapiens, Escaldón de Golfos, and music selectors Chary Lou and Toni LaCalle.

Supported by the Autonomous Organization of Culture and sponsors like Dorada Especial and Aguaria, the series has earned praise from Mayor José Manuel Bermúdez. He highlighted the project’s impressive ten-year run, noting its success in creating a stable, diverse cultural hub that connects local artists with the public. In a landscape where independent cultural programs often struggle to survive, Los Lavaderos has proven itself to be an essential part of the city’s identity.
