Landmar Hotels Named Among Spain’s Best Workplaces in 2026 Rankings
Landmar Hotels has become the only hotel group in its size category to be named one of Spain’s best places to work in the 2026 Great Place to Work® rankings, reflecting the company's commitment to staff retention and workplace well-being.
Spain’s tourism industry has long struggled with high staff turnover and seasonal hiring, making it difficult to build a consistent workforce. However, Landmar Hotels is bucking this trend. In the 2026 Great Place to Work® rankings, the hotel chain earned eleventh place in the category for companies with 501 to 1,000 employees—the only hotel group to make the list in that segment.
This recognition is based on a comprehensive study of 473 organizations and feedback from over 431,000 employees across Spain. Landmar Hotels, which operates two resorts in Tenerife’s Los Gigantes area, achieved a "Trust Index" score of 76 points.
The internal data highlights strong employee engagement: 84% of staff describe the company as an excellent place to work, while 88% say they are proud to work there and support the quality of service provided to guests. Juan Pedro Marrero, the company’s Director of People, views this link between staff happiness and service quality as a core business strategy. For management, retaining talent and fostering a stable work environment are essential to staying competitive in the demanding Canary Islands market.
Landmar Hotels’ success highlights the increasing focus on workplace well-being across the archipelago. By leveraging this recognition, the company—which operates Landmar Playa La Arena and Landmar Costa Los Gigantes—hopes to strengthen its reputation as an employer. In a sector that has faced years of uncertainty, prioritizing team stability and loyalty has become a vital key to operational success.
