LaLa Music Festival Returns to La Laguna to Boost Canary Islands’ Industry
The fifth edition of LaLa Music returns to La Laguna from April 9 to 11, aiming to professionalize the Canary Islands' music scene by connecting local talent with national industry leaders and festival organizers.
The fifth edition of LaLa Music is cementing its status as a key hub for the Canary Islands' recording industry. Taking place in La Laguna from April 9 to 11, the event aims to go beyond a standard trade fair, acting as a bridge between local talent and national booking circuits. The goal is not only to showcase island artists but also to professionalize the local live music scene by connecting creators directly with organizers from major festivals like Sonidos Líquidos, Phe Festival, and LPA Beer & Music Festival.
Eleven acts have been selected from nearly 100 applicants, representing the diverse styles and geography of the islands. The lineup—Patricia Lint, Good Franco, Macaca Radiata, Javi Chola, Pequeña Alaska, Velvet Flores, Clavelitos, Tamar Waters, Cuarto Marginal, M Oznari, and Guayete—will perform at various venues across La Laguna, including Aguere Cultural, the Casino de La Laguna, El Desleal, and the Museum of History and Anthropology. This spread across the city is designed to weave cultural activity into the urban landscape, a strategy that has proven successful at other music fairs across Spain.
The event also features high-profile national acts to draw in audiences and provide industry benchmarks. Samantha Hudson will open the festival on April 9 at Aguere Cultural, performing her album Música para muñecas alongside Tenerife artist Rayyx. The Madrid-based band Parquesvr will close the event on April 11, rounding out a program that balances emerging talent with established avant-garde names.
In addition to the concerts, the "LaLa Pro" professional day will take place on the morning of April 11 at Casa Lercaro. This session for networking and discussion is vital for the local industry as it works to move beyond its peripheral status and integrate into the broader Spanish music market. By combining professional development with public performances, LaLa Music serves as both a platform for exporting talent and an economic driver for the local scene. Tickets for the main concerts are available now via the Tickety platform.
