"La Recovita de Navidad," a Christmas fair exclusively featuring handmade crafts and local products, will take place in La Laguna's Hermano Ramón square from December 5th to 9th.

From December 5th to 9th, Hermano Ramón square will host "La Recovita de Navidad," a Christmas fair returning to La Laguna. This popular event will feature a variety of Christmas items and handmade crafts. It's a key part of the festive shopping and celebrations in the historic town center during the holiday season.

This eighth edition of the fair expands La Laguna's Christmas program, turning the square into a hub for local products. It's one of the annual attractions that draw both locals and tourists to La Laguna's old town.

Organized by La Laguna City Council's Department of Commerce, La Recovita de Navidad continues to highlight handcrafted goods. It aims to create a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the town's shopping experience during one of the busiest times of the year.

Estefanía Díaz, the Councilor for Commerce, emphasized that the fair supports local artisans and producers. She stated, "La Recovita de Navidad has become a unique event that champions handmade crafts and local goods. It perfectly complements La Laguna's wide range of shopping, cultural events, and festivities. Its inviting atmosphere and central location in the historic district make it a must-visit for anyone in the city during this time."

La Recovita stands out as one of the few Christmas fairs in the Canary Islands where all products are made by the participants themselves. Visitors can find a variety of handmade items, such as decorations, artisan pastries, candles, nativity scenes, textile designs, fabric crafts, 3D printed goods, macramé, and other local creations.

Being held in Hermano Ramón square boosts the area's appeal, especially as Christmas tourism grows. This helps establish La Laguna as a top destination in the Canary Islands for visitors drawn by the festive lights.

The councilor also noted that the fair "adds value and draws people to the town center, boosting local businesses without competing with them." She explained that La Recovita offers an experience that ties into holiday traditions and helps energize the area during a crucial shopping period.

Since it began in 2018, La Recovita de Navidad has improved the town's Christmas offerings. It provides a thoughtfully organized space with handmade goods, encouraging visitors to explore the historic center's lit-up streets and traditional nativity scenes.
