La Orotava to Host DiverSaldo Clearance Fair on October 3
The town of La Orotava will host its annual DiverSaldo clearance fair on October 3rd, featuring local shopping, live entertainment, and cultural activities across its historic center to support regional businesses.
La Orotava is gearing up for the latest edition of DiverSaldo, a popular clearance fair that will turn the town’s streets into a bustling marketplace on October 3rd. Now a staple in northern Tenerife, the event aims to boost the historic center by combining local shopping with entertainment and cultural activities.
Running from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., the fair helps local businesses clear out surplus stock and seasonal items. Shoppers will find a wide variety of goods, including clothing, footwear, jewelry, electronics, home appliances, and even second-hand vehicles and property.
The event will be spread across key locations, including Avenida de Canarias, Calle Calvario, the Puente del Escultor Estévez, and Plaza de la Constitución. To keep the atmosphere lively, the Department of Commerce, led by Deisy Ramos, has organized a program featuring live music, food, and children’s activities, centered around the San Agustín area and the upper square.
DiverSaldo is part of the "I shop in La Orotava" campaign, a municipal initiative designed to support local retailers in the face of global competition. Business owners interested in taking part can register for free between September 1st and September 18th, 2026. Applications can be submitted through the Department of Commerce via email or phone. La Orotava remains a pioneer on the island for this unique open-air shopping format.
