La Laguna Welcomes Amordiscos, New Shop for Affordable Sweets
Amordiscos, a new sweet shop specializing in affordable individual cheesecakes, cookies, and pastries, has opened in San Cristóbal de La Laguna as a modern extension of Pastelería El Artesano.
San Cristóbal de La Laguna has a new sweet spot: Amordiscos. This new shop specializes in cheesecakes, cookies, and handmade pastries, all at affordable prices. You can find Amordiscos at Doctor Antonio González street, number 7. Their main idea is to sell individual portions of sweets at reasonable prices, which is often hard to find for these kinds of treats.
Amordiscos was supposed to open on Thursday, November 13th. However, due to Storm Claudia, they had to delay it for safety reasons. The new opening date was Friday, November 14th, at 5:00 PM. Despite the delay, the shop still planned to stay open until 8:30 PM on its first day.
Before opening, the Amordiscos team built excitement by hinting at how much cheesecakes usually cost. This marketing trick got both locals and visitors curious.
To celebrate its grand opening, Amordiscos offered a special deal: the first 100 customers received a free cookie or a slice of cheesecake. This was a one-day-only promotion.
The star of the show at Amordiscos is their cheesecake slices. They start at just 1.50 euros. You can add one topping for 1.80 euros, or two toppings for 2 euros. They offer a wide range of flavors, including pistachio, lotus, Filipinos, Kinder, Nutella, passion fruit, and white chocolate. You can also find combinations with Oreo, Kit Kat, and various cookies. The idea is to cater to different preferences by offering popular and well-loved dessert flavors.
But Amordiscos isn't just about cheesecakes. They also sell other popular pastries. These other treats come with fillings like pistachio, lotus, Kinder, or Nutella, keeping with their theme of individual-sized desserts.
Amordiscos is connected to Pastelería El Artesano, a well-known bakery in La Orotava since 1993. Located at Avenida Obispo Benítez de Lugo, 32, El Artesano continues to serve its full range of products. For over thirty years, El Artesano has blended tradition with creativity, offering a wide selection of breads, pastries, and handmade sweets. It's open Monday to Saturday from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM, and on Sundays until 2:30 PM.
Now, with the opening of Amordiscos, some of El Artesano's most modern and tempting sweets are available in San Cristóbal de La Laguna. Amordiscos keeps the same quality but offers a fresh, innovative approach.
