Tenerife Libby's La Laguna aims to extend their strong start against DSV CV Sant Cugat, while Cisneros La Laguna seeks their first victory of the season.

Tenerife Libby's La Laguna is looking to continue its strong start to the season as they face DSV CV Sant Cugat this afternoon. The match kicks off at 6:15 PM at the Valldoreix Municipal Pavilion in Barcelona. Both teams are currently tied with six points heading into this fourth game of the Iberdrola League.

Tenerife Libby's La Laguna, known for playing tie-breaks – having gone to a fifth set in all three of their games so far – aims to extend their good form in Catalonia. Sant Cugat, meanwhile, will be hoping to bounce back after a 3-2 away loss to Heidelberg-Volkswagen from Gran Canaria.

Guillermo Orduna, coach of the Tenerife team, highlighted his squad's resilience and determination, especially in crucial moments. "All the fifth sets we have played have helped us strengthen our ability to fight for every point," he explained. Orduna also praised the team's commitment and dedication during the early part of the season, stating, "I highly value this start to the season and these first three victories."

However, the experienced Argentine coach admitted that the team is focused on finishing games more strongly to avoid last-minute struggles. "We had the opportunity to do so against Alcobendas and Kiele, but we couldn't make it happen," he said. He added, "We must continue training this aspect, to feel secure and comfortable when we have an advantage and be able to impose our game."

Regarding their opponent, Sant Cugat, who have been in the Iberdrola League for over five years, Orduna noted, "They have core players who know each other very well. Sant Cugat makes few changes and focuses on strengthening certain positions. It is an experienced team." The coach believes it "will be a very even match, requiring a lot of concentration and effort." He concluded, "We must pressure them regardless of the set score."

Cisneros La Laguna Seeks First Win

Cisneros La Laguna began the current season with a 3-0 defeat at the Gran Canaria Arena against CV Guaguas. A week later, the Tenerife team is playing away again, this time on another island in the Balearics. Today, Saturday at 5:00 PM, Miguel Rivera's players will face Conectabalear CV Manacor at the Miquel Angel Nadal Sports Center.

While Cisneros approaches the match aiming for their first victory of the season, the Mallorcan team hopes to secure their second consecutive win. In the last round, Alexis González's players won 3-0 against Bus Leader San Roque.

Miguel Rivera, coach of the La Laguna team, admits it will be a "complicated match," as "Manacor is a very intense team with a lot of character, especially when playing at home." Despite the challenging schedule, the Cisneros coach commented that "the boys have been working well this week," adding, "we are focused on correcting the things that didn't go well in Gran Canaria."
