La Laguna City Council has implemented a comprehensive transport and parking plan for "La Noche en Blanco" on November 29th, featuring increased public transport services, free shuttles, and park-and-ride options to ease congestion and enhance accessibility for attendees.

La Laguna City Council has put a special transport and parking plan in place for "La Noche en Blanco" (White Night) on Saturday, November 29th. The goal is to make getting around easy, encourage people to use public transport, and reduce traffic jams in the city.

Estefanía Díaz, the Councilor for Commerce, said the plan aims to "help residents and visitors get to the event without the hassle of traffic and finding parking. We want everyone to enjoy the night from the start, with transport options that are green, convenient, and accessible."

Domingo Galván, the Councilor for Mobility, added that there will be "more buses and trams, free shuttle buses, extra park-and-ride spots, and temporary changes to taxi ranks to keep things moving smoothly and efficiently."

Metrotenerife will run double trams on Line 1 during White Night, increasing capacity and improving service. Trams will run from 6:00 AM on Saturday, November 29th, until 6:00 AM on Sunday, November 30th, with trams every 10 minutes between 4:00 PM and 3:00 AM.

TITSA is also adding more services on bus routes to La Laguna that are expected to be busy, with extra departures throughout the day.

The City Council is offering a free shuttle bus between the Alcampo La Laguna Shopping Center and the Intercambiador (Interchange). It will run from 3:20 PM to 3:15 AM, providing a quick link to the city center. Stops will be in the Alcampo car park (near the cinemas) and at the Intercambiador.

TITSA expects to add extra services to several intercity bus routes. Line 050 (La Laguna–Tegueste–Bajamar–Punta del Hidalgo) will have more trips during the event. Line 104, which connects Santa Cruz and Puerto de la Cruz at night, will have extra departures from La Laguna. Line 108 (Icod–Santa Cruz, going to La Laguna) will also have more services in the afternoon and evening.

TITSA will also increase services on other lines based on demand. Line 014 (Santa Cruz–La Laguna via La Cuesta) will have extra services from 4:45 PM until 5:45 AM on Sunday, November 30th. Line 015 (Santa Cruz–La Laguna via highway) will be reinforced from 6:15 PM to 2:45 AM. Lines 102 and 103, connecting Santa Cruz and Puerto de la Cruz, will have extra services from 2:15 PM to 1:15 AM. Line 108 will have another period of extra services from 10:45 PM to 1:45 AM to help people get home.

Due to planned road closures in central La Laguna, the City Council has temporarily moved some taxi stands to ensure they can operate during the event.

The taxi stand at Plaza del Adelantado will move to Quinteras street, next to the buildings. The stand on Avenida de La Trinidad will move to El Juego street.

The taxi stand on Hermanos Marrero street will also be moved, with both sections relocating to Marqués de Celada street, which has enough space to keep traffic flowing.

The taxi stand at Plaza del Cristo will be temporarily closed because the area will be completely closed to traffic, making it impossible to set up a nearby alternative.

To encourage people not to use private cars, the City Council is making the park-and-ride facilities at the Alcampo Shopping Center available, which are connected by the free shuttle. Parking at the Guajara Campus of the University of La Laguna (in the Fine Arts, Law, and Philology faculties) will also be open to visitors all day. The main university campus will also offer its parking areas for event companies and staff, helping to manage traffic and avoid congestion in the city center.

Both Estefanía Díaz and Domingo Galván thanked the Alcampo Shopping Center, the University of La Laguna, and the companies involved for their cooperation, stating that "working together is key to a safe, accessible, and well-organized White Night."

The Mobility Department reminds attendees to use public transport to get to the event, as a large turnout is expected. It's recommended to plan your journey, check the latest timetables for TITSA and Metrotenerife, and follow the instructions of the Local Police and event staff.
