La Laguna to Host Second Edition of "El Talentón" to Boost Local Entrepreneurship
The San Cristóbal de La Laguna City Council will host the second edition of "El Talentón" at the Las Mantecas Technology Park this Saturday, combining sports races with local entrepreneurship initiatives.
Efforts to boost the local economy through community involvement are gaining momentum in Tenerife. The San Cristóbal de La Laguna City Council has announced that the second edition of "El Talentón" will take place this Saturday, November 23, aiming to connect local entrepreneurs with the sports and family leisure sectors.
The event will be held at the Las Mantecas Technology Park, a location chosen to highlight the link between physical activity and innovation. Following a successful first year, the park will once again serve as a hub for connecting emerging talent with the local business community.
The day features two main races: the "Race of Dreams" for children begins at 11:00 a.m., followed by the five-kilometer adult race at 12:00 p.m. To encourage participation, organizers are offering a trip to China as a prize for winners in the adult categories, reflecting the event's ambitious, international outlook.
Beyond the races, the venue will feature food trucks, information booths, and live music. By creating a space for social interaction, the La Laguna council hopes to turn the event into a meeting point for residents and local businesses, using the gathering as a way to foster a culture of entrepreneurship across the municipality.
