The "Shopping Vouchers" campaign has been launched in La Laguna to support local businesses, causing a stir among shoppers who are actively buying and spending them in 326 participating stores, hotels, and other establishments.

This morning, the center of La Laguna was crowded. Instead of window shopping, many people were intently staring at their phone screens near the stores.

The reason is simple: the "Shopping Bonds" campaign has started. They went on sale at noon on Tuesday and immediately became very popular. People bought the bonds and immediately rushed to spend them in local shops.

The activity was so high that some establishments used up all the money that could be exchanged for these bonds on the first day.

This initiative was launched by the La Laguna City Council, together with the Federation of Urban Areas of the Canary Islands (FAUCA) and the La Laguna Commercial Zone (LLZC), to support local businesses.

This year, 326 stores, hotels and other businesses are participating in the campaign.

"Shopping Bonds" can only be purchased on the website www.bonocomerciolalaguna.com. They will be available until September 30, 2025, or until they run out.
