La Laguna's 'Noche en Tinto' Unveils 2025 Harvest Wines
The 22nd 'November, Month of Wine' program in La Laguna features 'Noche en Tinto' at La Concepción square, an event showcasing 16 wineries, local food, and the first public tasting of 2025 harvest wines.
This Thursday, November 27, La Concepción square will host 'Noche en Tinto' (Night in Red Wine), a key event in the 'November, Month of Wine' program. This initiative is a collaboration between the Tacoronte-Acentejo Designation of Origin and the La Laguna City Council. The event will run from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM in the historic center of the town.
Sixteen wineries from the Tacoronte-Acentejo region will be showcasing their newest wines. Winery Burgmann Tenerife is also taking part in this month-long celebration of wine.
Visitors can also enjoy food from local businesses like Charcutería Víveres Jacinto, Cooperativa La Candelaria, Baggerman El Holandés, Tasca La Cencerra–La Bodeguita, and Las Croquetas de La Oliva.
Several other La Laguna establishments are also involved in the 'November, Month of Wine' program, including La Topa, La Trinchera, La Tropical, La Bodeguita, Restaurante Conny, and Taberna El Remojo. Other partners are also participating throughout the month.
Cristina Ledesma, the Councilor for Rural Development, explained that this event serves two main goals: to bring life back to the historic center and to promote the region's high-quality wines and local products, which are well-known both in Spain and abroad.
'Noche en Tinto' takes place during Saint Andrew's week and offers the first chance for the public to taste and give their feedback on the 2025 harvest wines.
This 22nd 'November, Month of Wine' program features a variety of activities blending wine, food, and culture, such as guided tours, tastings, shows, raffles, and special offers.
Highlights of the program include performances by Néstor Verona and Meeting Point, a live podcast called 'La Sociedad de las Raras Avis con Kevin Smith pasado de vuelta', opera screenings at Multicines Tenerife, walking tours through La Laguna's old town, and comic book signings with Mauro Entrialgo at Librería Lemus.
There are also events planned for theater, music, chess, jewelry, food and wine pairings, and various exhibitions. You can find the full schedule at www.tacovin.com.
María Paz Gil, the manager of the Regulatory Council, explained that the goal is to showcase the region's unique qualities by linking wine with other areas like music, art, and history. José Manuel González, president of the Regulatory Council, thanked local businesses for their support. He also mentioned that the 2025 grape harvest was particularly small, yielding only 402,000 kilograms, mainly due to drought.
Councilor Cristina Ledesma from the City Council further stressed the importance of supporting the wine sector, which has been impacted by environmental issues and diseases, while still celebrating the excellent quality of La Laguna's wines.
The La Laguna City Council and the Tacoronte-Acentejo Regulatory Council organize this program, with additional support from the Government of the Canary Islands, GMR Volcanic Experience, Multicines Tenerife, Librería Lemus, Ciudades a Pie, Fundación México Canarias, Club Laguna-Cotelec, Tenebris Contracultura, Espacio Bronzo, LM Arte Colección, and El Búho Club.
