The "Shopping Vouchers" campaign is launching in La Laguna, allowing you to purchase goods worth 20 euros by paying only 10, in order to support local businesses.

A new "Shopping Vouchers" campaign will start in La Laguna on September 2 to help local shops attract more customers.

This time, the City Council is cooperating with the Federation of Urban Areas of the Canary Islands (FAUCA) and the local Commercial Zone (LLZC).

326 shops, cafes and various services have already joined the initiative.

Vouchers can be purchased from 12:00 on Tuesday, September 2, and used until the end of the month (or until they run out).

How does it work? Each voucher costs 10 euros, but with it you can make a purchase for 20 euros in participating stores. That is, you get a 50% discount!

Each person can buy a maximum of 5 vouchers to spend 100 euros, paying only 50.

And each store can accept up to 350 such vouchers.

You can only buy vouchers online at www.bonocomerciolalaguna.com.

Estefanía Díaz, Councillor for Trade, says: "This campaign is a great way to support small businesses. We want every purchase to be a sign of support for local entrepreneurs, because behind every store there is someone's work and life."

She added that this is part of the city's plan to revive the economy. In addition to vouchers, the authorities are working on other ways to help local businesses, as they provide many jobs in La Laguna.

FAUCA President Abbas Muhir noted: "Shopping vouchers have already proven their effectiveness. They help inject money into the local economy, encourage shoppers and remind people how important it is to support local shops."

Muhir stressed that the campaign is taking place at a very important time - before the start of the school year - and urged everyone to take advantage of this opportunity.

Through this campaign, the City Council plans to invest one million euros in local businesses to ensure that La Laguna remains a city with active and successful entrepreneurs.
