The Museum of Science and the Cosmos in La Laguna hosts "Pages that Exhale" today at 6:00 p.m., a free panel discussion exploring the intersection of literature and the sense of smell.

This afternoon, the Museum of Science and the Cosmos in La Laguna will host Pages that Exhale, an event exploring the connection between literature and our sense of smell. Starting at 6:00 p.m., the discussion will examine how storytelling can evoke scents and how those smells help shape our collective memories.

The event is part of the museum’s Smelling is Believing exhibition, created in partnership with the Institute of Natural Products and Agrobiology (IPNA-CSIC). While literature often focuses on the visual, this session highlights how olfactory details can build narrative atmosphere and reveal the inner lives of characters.

The panel features authors Tadea Lizarbe, Clara Buedo, and Marta von Poroszlay, who will discuss how they incorporate scent into their writing. Rubén Naveros, the museum’s management head and the exhibition's curator, will moderate the conversation.

Attendance is free, though space is limited by the venue's capacity. The event highlights the museum’s role as a space where science and the humanities meet to provide a deeper understanding of the human experience.
