La Laguna Municipal Library will host "The Resonant Library" on October 24th, featuring free concerts by Cristina Mahelo and Della Du inspired by Canarian writers, to celebrate Library Day and local talent.

La Laguna Municipal Library is throwing a special party this Friday, October 24th, for Library Day. They're calling it "The Resonant Library," and it's all about celebrating words and the amazing creative talent we have here in the Canary Islands through music and literature.

The library is inviting everyone who's been involved in their activities and projects over the years to come along. It's a chance to chat, share ideas, and show how the library is a lively, welcoming place that's always growing.

Starting at 6:00 p.m., you can enjoy two free concerts by talented Canary Island artists, Cristina Mahelo and Della Du. They'll be playing brand new songs inspired by the lives and works of famous Canary Island writers and poets like Isabel Medina and Pino Ojeda, bringing their stories to life through modern music.

Cristina Mahelo, a singer and songwriter from Tenerife, is well-known on the island for her mix of soul, jazz, and Canarian folk music. Her beautiful voice and passion for Canarian culture have made her a popular artist.

Della Du, from Gran Canaria but now living in Tenerife, is known for her thoughtful lyrics and blend of alternative pop with electronic sounds. She's released a lot of music and has performed at many festivals and cultural events.

"The Resonant Library" is a project by the La Laguna Municipal Library, supported by the Culture Department of the San Cristóbal de La Laguna City Council, and groups like the Uvedevida Cultural Association and Soplo de Letras. They're all about making culture, music, and literature accessible to everyone.

Entry to "The Resonant Library" is free until it's full, so everyone is welcome to come and enjoy an afternoon where the library becomes a vibrant, living space.
