La Laguna Launches Summer Open-Air Comedy Series
La Laguna is hosting a series of free, open-air stand-up comedy performances throughout the summer to revitalize the historic town center and provide accessible cultural entertainment for the community.
La Laguna is once again hosting its popular open-air stand-up comedy series this summer. Organized by the local Youth Department, the initiative aims to bring the community together and liven up the historic town center during the holiday season. By hosting events in public spaces like Doctor Olivera Square, the City Council hopes to encourage people of all ages to enjoy culture outside of traditional venues.
The series is already underway and will continue throughout the summer. Upcoming performances include David García today, followed by Carmen Cabeza on August 1st and Tatiana Ojeda on August 15th. All shows are free to attend and operate on a first-come, first-served basis until the venue reaches capacity. Performances take place in the evening, from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM.
These outdoor events are part of a broader effort to revitalize historic centers, turning them into vibrant meeting spots for residents and visitors alike. By providing accessible entertainment and showcasing local comedic talent, the La Laguna City Council is working to strengthen the community and offer more free cultural activities during the summer months.
