La Laguna Launches Inclusive ‘Deporvida’ Summer Sports Program for 2026
La Laguna City Council has launched its 2026 "Deporvida" program, offering inclusive multi-sport summer camps and activities for children across various municipal locations from June 29 to August 21.
La Laguna City Council is focusing on how families spend their summer break with the launch of its 2026 "Deporvida" program. Managed by the Autonomous Sports Organization (OAD), the initiative aims to keep children active and engaged while school is out.
A key feature of this year’s program is its focus on inclusivity, ensuring that children with functional diversity can fully participate in the multi-sport camps. To make these activities more accessible, the council is spreading events across several locations, including the Juan Ríos Tejera and Alberto Delgado pavilions, the Islas Canarias complex, the Torres de Taco sports center, and the IES Antonio González González in Tejina.
The program offers a wide variety of activities from June 29 to August 21. Options include swimming in Bajamar, tennis in San Benito, padel in Taco and Salesianos, and skateboarding in Punta del Hidalgo. Additionally, Parque de la Vega will host climbing and orienteering, while family hiking trips will encourage everyone to get outside and stay active in Tenerife’s natural landscape.
To manage high demand, the camps are organized into two-week sessions. Registration for the multi-sport camps is already open, and sign-ups for the municipal sports schools begin on Monday, May 4.
You can register online at www.deportelagunero.com or in person at the Francisco Peraza Stadium, which is open for morning and afternoon sessions. For help with the registration process, you can call 922 26 28 90, send a message to 627 44 00 19, or email inscripciones@deportelagunero.com.
