La Laguna Introduces New Coach, Player, and Barceló Partnership

Tenerife Libby's La Laguna officially welcomed its two new winter additions, coach Ricardo Lemos and American player Alli Cudworth, yesterday. The event, held at the Barceló Santa Cruz Contemporáneo hotel, also marked the formal start of a new sponsorship deal between the hotel group and the La Laguna club.

Portuguese coach Ricardo Lemos spoke about his early motivation. "Haris immediately caught my attention with their ambition and competitive spirit," he said. "They always strive to compete and perform at their best, no matter the result. That's the kind of identity I look for in every club I work with. This is a perfect fit for me, and we're all working hard to achieve our best."

American outside hitter Alli Cudworth shared her excitement. "Joining the club has been a fantastic experience so far," she commented. "I feel a strong connection with both the coaches and my teammates. I even played my first game last week, helping us secure three important points. I'm really looking forward to seeing what the rest of the season brings."

Club President David Martín, along with Barceló hotel representatives, attended the event. Martín emphasized the value of the partnership. "We are incredibly thankful for this collaboration agreement, and for being able to introduce our new signings here," he stated. "This new partnership will help us refresh and renew the club in the coming year, much like the hotel has done with its own renovations."

Pablo Ojea Camiña, Commercial Director for Barceló Hotels in Tenerife, spoke of the hotel group's "double joy." "Today is a particularly happy day for us," he said, "as we recently reopened our newly renovated hotel, and now we can announce our partnership with Haris. This makes us doubly pleased. Haris is a historic, exemplary club that shares our values." Sigvald Karlsen Marrero, the hotel's Head of Sales, added, "We are delighted to work with Haris this season and hope to continue this partnership for many more years. We wish them continued success for Tenerife, as they always deliver."

The event ended with a group photo, symbolizing both the new partnership between the club and the hotel, and the official welcome of Lemos and Cudworth to the Tenerife Libby's La Laguna team.
