La Laguna Inaugurates Three Wise Men Royal Camp, Expects 18,000 Visitors
La Laguna's Royal Camp of the Three Wise Men, now open at La Vega Park until January 4, expects over 18,000 visitors enjoying festive activities leading up to the traditional Three Kings' Parade.
La Laguna City Council opened the Royal Camp of the Three Wise Men on Monday, December 22. This magical spot, now in its new home at La Vega Park, expects over 18,000 visitors by January 4. Children can give their letters to Melchior, Gaspar, Balthazar, and their royal helpers.
Mayor Luis Yeray Gutiérrez officially opened the doors. Inside, visitors found children's characters, rides, craft workshops, live music, photo booths, and many other surprises, bringing joy to both kids and adults.
The mayor highlighted that this event has become a key part of Christmas in the Canary Islands. He pointed to the high demand for both in-person and online tickets, noting that capacity was even increased from the 10,500 people who attended in 2024.
Dailos González, the City Council's Head of Festivities, also thanked the people of La Laguna and Tenerife for their enthusiastic response. He noted that the new location helps improve on the already great activities offered in previous years, creating a space for fantasy, music, traditions, and fun.
This year's event will offer two daily entry slots until January 4. Each visit lasts about two and a half hours, with different times available to ensure a comfortable, safe, and organized experience for all families.
Most days will have afternoon sessions, but there will be special morning sessions on December 24 and 31 to fit with the Christmas calendar and celebrations.
This Royal Camp sets the stage for the official arrival of Melchior, Gaspar, and Balthazar in La Laguna on the morning of January 5. They will be welcomed by the mayor and city councilors before parading through the streets to La Concepción tower. Later that afternoon, the traditional Three Kings' Parade, the oldest in the Canary Islands, will be held.
