La Laguna Implements Traffic and Security Plan for Arde Bogotá Concert
La Laguna has implemented a comprehensive traffic and security plan for this Saturday’s Arde Bogotá concert, which is expected to draw up to 15,000 fans to the Francisco Peraza stadium.
The Arde Bogotá concert this Saturday, August 1, at the Francisco Peraza stadium in La Laguna is expected to draw between 12,000 and 15,000 fans. To manage the large crowds, the local council has announced a major traffic and safety plan.
Starting at 6:00 p.m., five streets will be closed to traffic: Camino Fuentes Cañizares (at the San Diego intersection), Paseo Oramas (at Tabares Bartlet), Pozo Cabildo, República Argentina, and Joaquín Turina. Additionally, heavy vehicles and public transport will be restricted from Plaza Poeta Manuel Verdugo toward Marcos Redondo. Residents with private garages in these areas will have special access.
Authorities are strongly encouraging concertgoers to use public transport, as heavy traffic is expected. The island’s bus service, Titsa, will increase the number of buses running throughout the evening and night to accommodate the demand.
Doors to the stadium will open at 7:00 p.m. via Avenida Tabares Bartlet, two hours before the show begins at 9:00 p.m.
A joint security team—including the Local Police, National Police, Civil Guard, and private security—will be on-site to manage the event. For medical safety, a field hospital and three ambulances will be stationed nearby, coordinated by the 1-1-2 emergency service.
