La Laguna is hosting its fifth "Goat Gastronomic Route" from November 1st to 15th. This event is organized by the City Council's Rural Development Department, along with the La Laguna Zona Comercial (LLZC) business association and the Federation of Urban Areas of the Canary Islands (FAUCA).
Bars, restaurants, and cafes from the Northeast Region will take part, serving up goat-based tapas. These dishes will blend traditional flavors with modern ideas. Each tapa will cost 4.90 euros, and drinks are extra.
It's a chance for participating venues to show off their creative goat dishes. The main goal is to promote local produce and boost the economy, especially in farming and livestock sectors. Organizers are pleased to report that more businesses are taking part this year than last.
To make things easy, the Goat Gastronomic Route will continue to use digital tools. You can go online to find a list of participating places, see their locations on a map, and view descriptions and photos of each tapa. You can also vote for your favorite tapa by scanning a QR code found on posters at the participating venues.
The event will conclude with a closing ceremony on November 22nd at 11:00 AM, held at the Farmer's Market in Plaza del Ramal de Tejina. Here, the public's favorite establishment will be recognized, and the winner of a special raffle will be announced. If you vote, you'll be entered into a draw to win a 100-euro gift voucher, which you can spend at the winning restaurant.
